The Sammy Story: SammyGear™ was born out of a simple, yet sublime, utterance from our namesake that: "People love the truth!" Of course, opinions vary wildly on this but what a conversation starter! Or, ender...
Sammy coined the phrase in the midst of a monologue (this was a one-way conversation, to be sure) directed at an unsuspecting compatriot. I think Charles Dickens' line sums it up nicely; "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..." blah, blah, blah. Anyway, ol' Chuck certainly had a way with words. Sammy, on this particular day, however, did not. It was the best of times. A golf weekend with great friends. It was the worst of times (not really, just cringingly uncomfortable, momentarily). A whiskey-soaked rant of epic proportions. We'll spare you the sullied details but suffice it to say, "the truth" was best left unsaid that day. Fortunately, for us, it was said and SammyGear™ lurched forth from the wreckage.

➤John O'Brien (aka Johnny O) is a professional illustrator and, according to Sammy, is pUre clASS through and through. He believes in telling the truth as well, no matter how... "pleasant".
